Job Overview
Watson C&D LLC is looking for a skilled and motivated Fleet Mechanic to support our landfill and recycling operations in Alachua County, FL. In this critical role, you'll maintain and repair a variety of fleet vehicles and construction equipment, including roll-off trucks and dump trucks. Key Responsibilities
•Perform maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment, including roll-off and dump trucks
•Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, transmission, and electrical systems
•Conduct safety inspections and preventative maintenance
•Replace or fabricate worn or defective parts as needed
•Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools to perform accurate repairs
•Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used
•Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
•Respond to emergency or on-call repair needs when necessary
Qualifications
•Proven experience as a Fleet Mechanic or in a similar role
•In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems including hydraulics, transmissions, and suspensions
•Familiarity with construction and industrial equipment is highly preferred
•Must have own tools and a valid driver's license is (preferred)
•Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
•Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and work in outdoor environments
•Familiarity with DOT regulations, safety protocols, and the ability to pass DOT screening.

Work Schedule
•Full-Time, Monday to Friday
