Position Type: Full-time, salaried position. This is a hybrid position but will require frequent travel to our 6 warehouse/HQ locations throughout MA as needed.
The Fleet & Compliance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all HomeWorks Energy vehicles are well maintained and in good operating condition, compliant with state and federal regulations, and facilitate vehicle end of life sales. The Fleet Supervisor will also be responsible for ensuring all Home Works Energy drivers meet insurance and DOT compliance standards as applicable, and all driver records are well maintained and up to date and administer 3rd party vehicle and driver databases.

- Ensure regular inspections of all fleet vehicles and confirm they are in optimal working condition and comply with safety standards.
- Schedule routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks, to prevent breakdowns and prolong vehicle lifespan.
- Coordinate with mechanics or external service providers for repairs and maintenance tasks beyond in-house capabilities.
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle maintenance history, including repairs, inspections, and servicing, to track expenses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the inventory of gas cards and associated reports.
- Coordinate the disposal of vehicles to minimize waste or excess inventory.
- Ensure all HomeWorks Energy drivers meet insurance and DOT compliance standards as applicable, including valid licenses, medical certifications, and drug testing requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of driver qualifications, respirator certifications, chemicals, training certifications, and training, ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates and company policies.
- Administer third-party vehicle and driver databases, verifying and updating information regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to address any compliance issues or concerns promptly, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures as needed to mitigate risks and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Maintain compliance and oversight of GPS and cameras in all company vehicles.
- Ensure all employees complete required compliance training modules—including program specifications, combustion safety tests (CSTs), lead paint safety, and job-specific certifications—and maintain records of completion.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient computer skills with ability to learn new software.
- NAFA certification or equivalent preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to fleet operations, such as DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and insurance compliance.
- Excellent communication skills including active listening.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Ability to trouble shoot or design new processes.
- Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Minimum 4 years driving experience and a clean driving record.
This is a supervisory role that may include overseeing and managing a team or department.
- Office Environment: This position is primarily based in an open office environment with typical office conditions; however, may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
- Warehouse Environment: This position is based in a warehouse, which serves as a base for many of our operations and includes equipment and material storage areas.
- Hybrid position: This position is a flexible work model that combines remote and on-site work. When working remotely, the employee is required to have a workspace free of distraction during work hours to perform job duties.
- Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, performing tasks on a computer, the ability to move within the office to attend meetings, access equipment, or interact with colleagues.
- This job requires travel in a personal or company-provided vehicle.
