First Shift Screw Machine Operator

This position can be either FT or PT. Candidate will be responsible for running two Acme Screw Machines for production. A FT candidate is eligible for full benefits only.

a: Operates Screw Machine(s), as assigned daily

b: Performs In Process Inspection per Procedure

c: Keeps Work area clean & organized

d: Performs Preventitive Maintenance a required

e: Operate Lift Truck when successful Evaluation completed

Major Duties & Responsibilities (others may be assigned on as-needed/non-recurring basis):

a: Receives daily job assignments and instruction from Floor Manager, either verbal or posted

b: Performs continous inspection during Operation, record inspection results every two hours per QSWI MFG work instructions, performs 100% Inspection as required. Notify appropriate personnel when tool adjustments requried.

c: Identify and load material as needed. Dispose of bar ends from previous material load.

d: Monitors tooling per QP1170-3 Tool Sheet. Notifies appropriate personnel when change required.

e: Spins chips and empties chip hopper, as required.

f: Reports quality or machine problems immediately to Floor Manager even when corrected by offset.

g: Insures containers have been properly tagged and identified, as required, insures containers have accurate part counts affixed when applicable. Insures HOLD parts are identified and REJECT parts are identified and separated (quarantined as needed)

h: Keeps work area neat and clean during production, tools and gaging kept organized

i: Performs all QP1410-2 Preventative Maintenance as required

j: Offers suggestions to speed up or improve machining operation or secondary procedures

k: Ability to use basic Inspection Equipment such as Micrometers and Calipers

l: Ability to read basic blueprints

m: Use hard gaging correctly, including understanding allowable result

n: Responsible to fill out time cards and any required QMS documents, accurately and completely

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
