Machine Operator - 1st shift

First shift hours: 6am - 4:30pm M-Th.

Job Title: Machine operator

Summary: To operate machinery and tools in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with production standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities includes the following:

1. Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with production requirements and standards.

2. Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions.

3. Completes equipment set-up's in accordance with customer specifications and quality procedures.

4. Inspects parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as needed.

5. Inspects equipment prior to use to verify equipment is in good working order.

6. Completes all required job documentation.

7. Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas daily.

8. Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.

9. Notifies lead of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.

10. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Dexterity Skills; Time Management; Communication Skills; Basic Math Skills; Blue Print Reading; Professionalism

Physical Requirements:

Required to stand for long periods of time

May involve some repetitive motions

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

May also engage in frequent and repetitive bending, lifting, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
