The primary function for the Mill Operator is to safely operate equipment and feed rubber into a two-roll mill, feed rubber onto conveyor belts, and cut finished rubber.

Must be available to work overtime (on Fridays)
Responsibilities
•
Reads and interprets job documents for mixing and material instructions needed to mill rubber components.
•
Employ established set-up and Standard Operating Procedures which pertain to the machines, tooling, gaging, and other necessary equipment.
•
Possess and when necessary, utilize the authority to stop any production operation which is unsafe
•
Observes the milling machine operation and adjusts controls such as mill speed, lubrication, and density.
•
Continuously tends the machine and the material, feeding material back into the rollers and sometimes adding components until the material reaches proper consistency.
•
Verifies dimensions of rubber material using various instruments such as rulers, gauges, and calipers
•
Delivers samples to the on-site lab for testing, as necessary.
•
Removes rubber material and stack as required for shipment.
•
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
•
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
•
Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
Physical Requirements
•
Prolonged periods standing and walking
•
Lift, push and pull up to 60 pounds
•
Tolerate a non-controlled temperature environment
•
Interpret and communicate detailed instructions and measurements
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
