FINISHER/PACKER

Position Summary: Packer/Finisher is responsible for completing the manufacturing process by performing deburring and cleaning, inspecting for quality, and preparing components for shipping.

Essential Job Duties:

- Use handling equipment and finishing equipment to deburr and clean blanked components

- Transfer of cleaned parts to the packing area

- Pack parts in bags, heat seal and print barcode labels that are attached to the bags

- Pack bags into boxes using specified dunnage

- Quality checks utilizing control parameters

- Material transactions – operator will use our MRP system to complete transactions for the amount of parts produced.

- Material handling:

Lift up to 40 lbs.

Use of hand trucks

Use of forklift trucks

Additional Responsibilities:

Operator should be capable of reading process sheets. Working with quality control and data collection necessary. Candidate must be willing to work overtime.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Experience of 2-3 years preferred

- Ability to read process sheets and prints

- Working with quality control and data collection

- Experience with use of hand trucks and forklift trucks; certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements/Safety:

- Lift up to 40 lbs.

- Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.
