About the Position
Reporting to the Manager Metal Fabrication, the Finisher is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the finishing equipment which includes the tumbler, polishing machines and grinders.

Probation: 3 months.
Shifts: Morning (8:00AM – 4:00PM), Evening (4:00PM -12:00AM), Night (12:00AM - 8:00AM)
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
•Preform duties involving routine preparation, grinding, final buffing and polishing on a variety of parts, weldment components, etc., for required finishes.
•Use grinders with an abrasive belt, disc or belt grinder to remove riser pads, fins, seams, excessive roughness or any other surface imperfections.
•Use a disc to remove sharp edges, imperfections, excess metal, smooth down any weldment components and visual subsurface defects.
•Select wheels, speeds and feeds for varying materials and finish requirements;
•Work from written and verbal instructions and standard procedures;
•Preform final buffing and polishing
•Visually examine parts for acceptable

•You have the ability to read drawings and specifications; knowledge of engineering tolerances
•You have a thorough knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
Experience/Skills/Education
Required:
•1 year experience in similar role preferred, but willing to train
Preferred:
•Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
Physical Requirements
•Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently throughout the work day
•Must be able to accommodate changing work shifts, including midnight to 7:00 am
•Must be able to stand and to work with hands for extended periods
•Must have good spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
