Overview
The Financial Systems Analyst (FSA) bridges the gap between technology and business processes, enabling leadership to make informed financial decisions. This role is responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of financial systems, supporting teams across Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue & Pricing, Budgets, Accounting, and Treasury. The FSA also supports users, manages reporting tools, and helps migrate processes into structured financial software platforms.
- Develop and maintain data preparation tools for seamless system data loads.
- Perform master data maintenance and updates within financial software platforms.
- Support end users with issue resolution, navigation, and reporting needs.
- Research, document, and migrate Excel-based processes into system platforms.
- Collaborate with IT staff or vendors on advanced configuration changes.
- Develop dashboards and reports to deliver concise, actionable insights.
- Reconcile accounting data between reporting systems on a monthly basis.
- Build and test financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Participate in software evaluations and implementation projects.
- Strong knowledge in finance, mathematics, accounting, or economics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, formulas, database functions).
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to document processes, organize data, and present findings clearly.
- Effective communicator and team collaborator with strong organizational skills.
- Experience with SAC, SAP BI, or similar platforms preferred.
- Familiarity with utility finance or energy markets is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business, or related field required.
- Experience in corporate finance, utility finance, or regulated industries preferred.
