Finance manager job with direct supervisory responsibility for operation of a department focused on general accounting and administrative functions. Responsible for the application of principles of accounting to install and maintain the general accounting system including the accurate and timely preparation of reports and statistics reflecting assets, liabilities, financial transactions, earnings, profits, cash balances, year-end audit preparation, budgets, forecasts, and other financial results. Maintains accounts, and records of disbursements, expenses, and tax payments. Prepares information for generation and filing of tax returns and other reports to government agencies, maintains insurance and property records:
- Prepares or directs preparation of reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations to ensure they are accurate and on time.
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate financial operating results to provide information and guidance to directors and department managers, and provide technical support where needed.
- Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, vendor agreements, insurance records and other items as required.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing and recording of daily banking, positive pay, monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activity transactions and other items as required.
- Direct the development, implementation and monitoring of new goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and payroll to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Direct and participate in cost analyses and rate studies.
- Support President and other Director’s with special projects and workflow process improvements.
- Maintain all official accounting records in conformance with (GAAP) generally accepted accounting principles.
- Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
- Apply percentage of completion accounting for long term manufacturing projects.
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

- 5+ years experience in finance or accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- CPA.
- Experience in SAP Business One.
- Ability to write queries in an ERP system.
Salary: $95,000 to $115,000 /year depending on education and experience.
