Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Field Services Electrical/Electronics Technician opportunity in Knoxville, TN.
This position requires frequent travel to nationwide and international facilities.
This position will work with a nuclear engineering consulting firm that provides products and services to measure instrumentation and control system performance in nuclear power plants worldwide. As a Field Services Electrical / Electronics Technician, you will travel to both domestic and international customer sites taking customized data acquisition and analysis hardware and software to collect data and provide analysis reports. When you are not traveling, you will support the construction, modification, repair, and calibration of our test equipment and maintain our laboratory facilities.
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering - 5+ years of directly related experience
- Ability to read and understand written/oral instructions and procedures
- Ability to analyze information objectively and make a reasoned judgement
- Possess excellent electrical/electronic knowledge
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Knowledge of computers and electronics
- Excellent soldering skills
- Travel to perform field service testing at national and international facilities
- Produce detailed data analysis reports
- Construct, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic test equipment
- Install programs, configure software, and troubleshoot computer operational problems
- Maintain Company’s laboratory facilities
