Field Service Technician

Ohio Gas Company is seeking an individual to join our team as a Service Technician in the Swanton/Delta service area. This position helps to ensure a safe and reliable supply of natural gas to our customers.

Responsibilities Include:

- Locating and protecting natural gas utility lines

- Construction clean-up

- Installing meter sets

- Collecting data using GPS and GIS technology

- Handling delinquent bill collections

- Responding to emergency situations such as possible gas or carbon monoxide leaks

Requirements Include:

- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions

- Mechanical ability

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Proficient computer use

- Prior HVAC or underground construction experience a plus

- High school diploma/GED

- Valid driver's license required with record that permits company insurance coverage

Must reside or be willing to relocate to location within the Swanton/Delta service area for emergency response purposes.

This position is covered by Department of Transportation workplace drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Job training is provided.
