Field Service Technician - San Antonio, TX

We build ultra-reliable remote power and instrument air systems that keep critical infrastructure running. Now we’re looking for a Field Service Tech who can hold their own in the San Antonio heat, troubleshoot in the wild, and give customers a “wow, that was easy” experience.

This role is hands-on, high-impact, and never boring.

What You’ll Do

- Be the face of Qnergy at customer sites across San Antonio. Your service = our reputation.

- Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain our Instrument Air systems and remote power solutions.

- Jump into remote support, system checks, and component testing without flinching.

- Spot issues in the field and get engineering/manufacturing looped in, no sugarcoating.

- Build clear documentation and lead training so customers actually know how to use the equipment.

- Team up with our cross-functional crew to fix problems fast and right.

Requirements:

What You Bring

- Post-secondary technical diploma in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, or similar.

- 1+ year of field service experience, bonus if you’ve touched air compressors, HVAC, or rotating equipment.

- Safety certifications? Great. If not, we’ll help you build your toolkit.

- Legit mechanical and electrical troubleshooting chops.

- Comfort reading drawings and digging into details.

- Strong communication, written, verbal, and “explain it to the customer who skipped the manual.”

- Self-directed, organized, and motivated. You don’t need someone hovering over you.

- Professional presence. You represent the company with customers, partners, and everyone in between.

Work Reality Check

- On-call rotation required... yep, sometimes after hours.

- Travel across the region, occasionally on short notice.

- Outdoor work in Texas weather… which means all of the weather.

- Elevated noise environments at times.

- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and handle the physical demands of field work.

- Some office time + plenty of field time + regular computer use.
