CheckPoint Pumps & Systems is a leading manufacturer of chemical injection pumps and packages. Headquartered in Louisiana, we have expanded operations with a new branch office in Midland, Texas, and are seeking talented individuals to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join at a pivotal stage and advance as our presence in the region expands. The role begins as a versatile, hands-on position with a clear path toward supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, with overtime and occasional weekend work required. Travel to various locations in Texas and New Mexico is expected.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive field and workshop support while contributing to the growth and operational excellence of our Midland branch.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform field service, including pump repair, part replacement, and diagnostic troubleshooting using tools such as the DC3 toolkit.
•Install chemical injection equipment, including tray and tubing placement, and injection quill installation.
•Handle deliveries and collections from customer and vendor sites across TX and NM.
•Maintain and upkeep the workshop and office areas, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
•Manage stock levels through regular reordering and inventory checks.
•Conduct sales visits, including outside regular business hours as needed.
•Train customers on CheckPoint products both at their facilities and in the field.
•Support administrative tasks, including handling calls, responding to emails, and ordering office supplies.
•Inspect, service, and repair rental equipment before and after use.
•Ensure the service truck is properly stocked and equipped with necessary tools, PPE, monitors, first aid kits, and spare parts.
•Perform additional duties as assigned by the Midland Office Manager.
Required Skills & Abilities
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply practical solutions.
•Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to develop technical expertise in CheckPoint products and chemical injection systems.
•Working knowledge of HSE procedures, regulations, and oilfield safety practices.
•Proficiency in diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving mechanical issues efficiently.
•Experience towing trailers (30 ft. or larger).
Knowledge & Training
•Willingness to complete product and operational training at CheckPoint’s headquarters in Louisiana.
•General understanding of oil production processes and the role of chemical injection.
•Familiarity with emerging technologies used in oil production.
Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
•Certifications: Safeland, H2S, RigPass (or equivalent).
•Minimum 5 years of field experience, with hands-on exposure to pump systems and troubleshooting in the field.
