We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. This position involves providing technical support, installation, and repair of customer equipment at sites across the United States, with occasional international travel. Approximately 4–6 months per year will involve travel; the remaining time will be spent working onsite at our Lexington, NC facility.
Essential Duties:
•Adhere to company, customer and industry quality and safety standards.
•Operate tools and machinery in compliance with specifications and instructions.
•Inspect, repair, and replace customer equipment at job sites.
•Collaborate with a team to install expansion joints and associated metalwork; provide guidance to contractors or on-site personnel.
•Assist with start-up and site readiness preparation, start-up monitoring and training.
•Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, both in the field and shop.
•Coordinate work schedules with the Field Service Lead.
•Assist in shop-floor manufacturing of fiberglass expansion joint products.
•Accurately complete any required service documentation.
•Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education/Work Experience Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent is required.
•Related technical school or training is preferred but not required.
•2-4 years of related work experience in an industrial construction setting is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills and Ability Requirements:
•Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., grinders, impact guns, wrenches).
•Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures.
•Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
•Field fitting experience in industrial environments.
•Comfortable working at heights and in various physical positions (kneeling, climbing, crouching).
•Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs.
•Familiarity with OSHA regulations (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, hot work, crane/rigging signaling and job hazard analysis).
•Experience with lifting equipment (slings, chains, come-alongs, etc.).
•Welding and fabrication experience a plus.
•Ability to work with fiberglass materials.
•Must have a valid driver’s license.
•Must be willing to travel extensively and work long hours when required.
•Strong listening skills and ability to follow instructions.

Pay is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
