The Field Production Facility Engineer works closely with an experienced Production Facility and Production Operations team to design, implement, and maintain production facility infrastructure. Duties, including, but not limited to:
- Assist in production facilities’ budgeting, mechanical design, drafting, and installation
- Assist in instrumentation, automation, and electrical budgeting design, programming and installation
- Project economic evaluations for capital and expense projects
- Monitor mechanical integrity program and provide recommendations / solutions
- Evaluating, monitoring, and recommending repairs and maintenance to facilities
- Conduct post job reviews of production facility builds
- Manage as-builts for facilities and update designs
- Production facility optimization and enhancement
- Work alongside operations and regulatory to adhere to regulatory compliance
- Work with multidisciplinary team to promote continual performance optimization
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with field personnel, operations team, corporate engineering, and management team
- Ability to prepare and implement technical recommendations for production facility optimization and build projects
- Basic understanding of instrumentation and electrical components and controls – Emerson, ABB, AC / DC power, generators, overhead power, VFDs, PLC’s and HMI’s.
- Proficiency in mechanical design and process flow.
- Basic understanding of Auto-CAD, Navisworks, modeling and drafting software
- Troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to travel as needed in and out of state with overnight stays necessary
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines
:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of engineering experience, preferably in electrical or mechanical engineering- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work with a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with MS Office
Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Ability to drive for long periods of time, walk and/or stand for long periods of time, perform work in all types of weather conditions.
This job operates in both a field office environment and physically on well pad locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, iPads and iPhones. Regular trips to well pad locations may involve exposure to equipment, dust, noise, debris, and varying weather conditions and will require proper PPE.
This job requires travel both in state to well locations and out of state as necessary to corporate headquarters.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time salaried position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but can vary due to workload/needs of the company. This position requires an individual who can answer emergency calls at any time. This employee must be available to come to work during off-hours and/or weekends to address emergency conditions or other situations that may arise.
