The Field Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing projects in a safe manner. It requires travel to field locations, both domestically and internationally, to install, commission, troubleshoot and pull Subsurface Compressor Systems (SCSs). It requires a willingness to relocate internationally when necessary.
Physical and mental activities. Domestic and international travel up to ~70% of the time.
- Lead field operations during SCS installations, pulls, troubleshooting and commissioning
- Perform detailed job planning, risk assessment and safety requirements
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, communication and control system issues
- Oversee site safety, equipment preparation and execution of work plans
- Generate technical documentation: pre-job plans, post-job reports and field logs
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and operations teams
- Assist in procedure development, equipment trials and field tests
- Provide client interface, third party vendors and on-site decision-making
- Mentor and support junior technicians or contractors
- Engineering degree (mechanical/electrical/petroleum)
- 1-2 years of oil and gas experience is preferred
- Experience with mechanical and electrical work is a plus
