We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fiber Construction Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of fiber construction crews, ensure project timelines are met, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and excellent organizational skills.
· Lead and supervise fiber installation crews on underground and aerial fiber projects
· Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors to ensure efficient job site operations
· Read and interpret construction drawings, maps, and plans
· Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards
· Track progress, complete daily reports, and communicate project updates
· Conduct quality control inspections to verify proper installation practices
· Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues as they arise
· Train and mentor team members to uphold USG's high standards
· Oversee ISP construction including pulling cable, DMARC extensions, placing backboards
· 3+ years of experience in fiber optic or telecommunications construction
· Strong understanding of fiber installation methods (underground boring, aerial placement, splicing, etc.)
· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
