Facilities Engineer / Technologist, Light Oil Business Unit
(Permanent – Full-time)
Baytex has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Engineer / Technologist to join our team. The Facilities Engineer / Technologist will safely support and execute facility construction and optimization projects in our Saskatchewan and Alberta Viking light oil play areas.
Responsibilities:
•Lead and manage full project lifecycle including scope development, planning, detailed design, and execution for Single and Multi-Well Batteries installations, emissions reduction projects, compressor modifications, and facility debottlenecking.
•Provide direct field support during construction, commissioning, and start-up to ensure safe, efficient execution.
•Coordinate schedules, cost tracking, regulatory requirements, and drawings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
•Support field operations by troubleshooting day to day facility issues and driving the management of change (MOC) process.
•Evaluate and implement facility process improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
•5 years or more of related experience in oil and gas projects.
•Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in an engineering discipline.
•Proven project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong team player within a multidisciplinary environment.
•Effective verbal and written communication skills.
•Working knowledge of the current codes, standards and regulatory requirements associated with oil and gas facility-related projects in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
•Must be willing and able to travel within Alberta and Saskatchewan on a regular basis.
