We are seeking a Planner to join our team and support the Asset Performance Management (Transmission) Department. In this role, you will coordinate resources, support onboarding of new transmission assets, and manage preventative and corrective maintenance for both new and existing assets. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with optimal resource utilization.
- Develop and manage departmental work tasks and schedules to optimize resources within budgetary constraints.
- Create and maintain project plans, including schedules, critical path analysis, and milestone compliance tracking.
- Collaborate with operating engineers to develop and update maintenance job plans for equipment.
- Utilize Maximo to document and track equipment performance, spare parts, and compliance standards.
- Oversee the disposal process for end-of-life assets.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Code Compliance, including permits, HASPs, and JSAs.
- Conduct building survey inspections (interior & exterior) with a focus on safety, develop corrective action plans, and follow through on closeout.
- Assist with space planning, including furniture layouts and seating charts.
- Support project closeouts by securing “as built” drawings, training materials, and O&M manuals.
- Coordinate with drafting and design teams to maintain up-to-date documentation and compliance with configuration management policies.
- Provide backup support to facilities management and assist with daily operational activities.
- Proficiency with Maximo, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or Visio).
- Experience with work management systems and scheduling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, construction practices, and workflows.
- Ability to read and annotate architectural drawings.
- Associate degree (AAS) in Engineering required.
- 3–5 years of related experience in construction management or planning with architects/engineers and contractors.
- Space planning and safety compliance experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- OSHA 30 certification (training can be provided upon hire).
