Come and work for a company that has been in business since 1950. You will be a vital part of our team, assisting with various fabrication tasks. We are looking for EXPERIENCED production workers, referred to as Helpers, to perform various types of general labor in a Union Shop. Currently hiring for AFTERNOON SHIFT.
Pay starts at $18.22/hour. New hires are probationary employees until they successfully complete 1040 hours where they have the opportunity gain extra benefits and become members of the United Steelworkers of America. This means, you can be moved to a different shift during your probationary period.
We have a five (5)day work week, with an occasional MANDATORY Saturdays.
Any offer of employment is contingent upon a successful completion of the company's physical examination, which will include screening for drugs.
Upon hire you will need steel toe boots/shoes.
Helpers must possess the physical strength to lift 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds in a safe and productive manner, the manual dexterity to use tools and factory machines, and the stamina to remain on their feet for most of their shift. They must also possess sufficient vision to accurately distinguish details, such as reading pressure gauges or thermostats.
Regular attendance is a condition of employment.
Helpers are required to follow instructions from higher-level employees and may have to complete several tasks in one shift. Helpers may be required to work alone or in teams under supervision. Helpers will generally learn and develop their skills in a hands on environment while working with more experienced employees.
Helpers perform multiple tasks as part of their job role and responsibilities to aid the fabrication, extrusion, and shipping departments for successful production.
Fabrication Department Helper duties would include tumble, bend, sand brush, basic inspection and rework of parts and any other duties to assist in the production of the department.
Pay: $18.22 per hour. A $.30/hr. shift differential exists for afternoon
