The purpose of the Chamber is to promote trade and investment opportunities between Guyana and Canada and to support the business communities in both countries through seamless bi-lateral interactions.
The ED will provide strategic direction, vision, and management over the programs and personnel of the Canada-Guyana Chamber of Commerce and its affiliates.
He/she will possess expertise in strategic planning, membership recruitmentand services, Board and program management, event organization (eg trade delegations and business for a), public policy, non-profit governance and operations, finance and accounting, public speaking, and fundraising. The ED will report to the Chair.
Education: Master’s Degree is preferred but related experience will be considered in lieu of academic credentials.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in executive management and leadership positions within the private, public, or non-profit sectors demonstrating progressively greater responsibility.
