Project Coordinator Brief Description
The Project-Coordinator’s primary role is to estimate remodeling projects and to prepare the details of the remodeling projects for the production team. The Project-Coordinator will work under the direction of the Project Consultant. There will be opportunities to design projects by using our drawing programs. The collaborative goal between the Project-Coordinator & the Project Consultant is to sell, design, & estimate the best project for the customer to fall in love with. Then, they are to set up the production team for success by efficiently passing on the project information.
Roles & Duties:
Estimating:
•1) Develop the scope-of-work for the Construction Proposal - reviewed by the Project Consultant
•2) Estimate direct projects costs - including materials, labor, subcontractor & other direct costs using our estimating catalog – reviewed by the Project Consultant.
•3) Have a broad knowledge of building products and construction practices.
Pre-Construction:
•1) Prepare job folders for the Production Manager
•2) Enter project information into BuilderTrend including documents, plans, selections, and all other important information for the production team.
•3) Notify subcontractors of job sold status & finalize sub quotes to match the project’s scope-of-work.
•4) Create/draw permit plans & obtain approved building permits.
•5) Walk-through & demonstrate BuilderTrend with customers.
•6) Finalize selections with the customer.
7) Order products assigned to Designer
& Estimator* in “Who Orders What” sheet.
•8) Prepare siding and deck material orders for the Production Manager to review.
•9) Make check-in calls to pre-construction customers to update the status of the project.
Construction:
•1) Estimate, enter, & finalize change orders – reviewed by Project Consultant
•2) Visit jobsites to see progress throughout the job & build relationships with the homeowners.
•3) Schedule a final walkthrough at the end of each project
Other Duties:
•1) Attend 1-on-1 regular meetings with the Project Consultant.
•2) Record lead activities in BuilderTrend & keep lead info up to date.
•3) Update the lead status on James Hardie & Andersen logins.
•4) Update catalogs, brochures, & samples each January (before Home & Garden Show in February).
•5) Work at the Home & Garden Show, Remodelers Tour, and maybe other events.
Design - these duties are as-needed in support of the Project Consultant:
•1) Create feasibility estimates if you are needed to create them - reviewed by the Project Consultant.
•2) Work within our design/development process alongside the Project Consultant.
•3) Measure the existing home for drawings & measurements.
•4) Build accurate drawings, 3D renderings, & elevations of projects using Chief Architect, Home Designer Pro, & Hover.
•5) Provide product selection assistance – can request assistance with a designer if needed.
