Construction Estimator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, estimating, and project management.

Duties:

- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates

- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive prices

- Utilize software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for estimating purposes

- Develop detailed proposals outlining project scope, timeline, and pricing

- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate estimates

- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget

Skills:

- Proficiency in Construction Estimating and Cost Control

- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing

- Experience with HeavyBid software for estimating purposes

- Knowledge of construction management principles

- Ability to interpret blueprints and construction plans

- Project management skills to oversee multiple estimates simultaneously

- Familiarity with Bluebeam software for document management

- Capacity to build accurate estimates based on project requirements

- Understanding of contract terms and pricing strategies
