Global Village Victoria is looking for a high-energy, English and Japanese-speaking, residence-based, Program Manager for our new Residential Summer program based out of St Margaret’s School in Victoria. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic camp leader who loves working with kids and has experience with students, aged 9-13 years. This exciting and innovative new program will be operating daily from July 27-August 9th and will feature a combination of language classes, fun on-campus and off-campus activities, as well as integration into St Margaret’s day camp programs with local Victoria-area kids. In addition to the camp dates above, we also require an additional 5 days of camp planning and preparation from July 23rd to 26th and 2 days of post-program review and final reporting.
The Program Manager will report to the GV @ St. Margaret’s Summer Camp Director and will be responsible to ensure that our Japanese students are safe, happy, and fully participating in the program. The Program Manager will also be required to update agents / parents daily on the activities of the day, share photos and videos and respond to agent / parent questions or concerns.
Work Schedule: This is effectively a short-term 24/7 role. There will be free time during morning classes and while students are participating in day camp programs. However, the expectation is that the Program Manager will lead evening activities as well as afternoon and weekend excursions and will be available 24/7 to respond to issues as and when they arise.
Compensation & Benefits: Accommodation and all meals will be included; pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
