Summary
As a Camp Manager at Chu Cho Industries, you will oversee the daily operations of our camps located primarily within the Williston Lake and Tsay Keh Dene territory. The Camp Manager will ensure that all aspects of camp life, safety, staffing and logistics are managed effectively. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing camp staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements..
Key Responsibilities:
Camp Operations Management:
•Oversee all operations of the Company's camps, including housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance services.
•Ensure that the camp is maintained to high standards of cleanliness and functionality.
•Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring timely orders are submitted.
Staff Management:
•Supervise and coordinate camp staff, including housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance personnel.
•Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for camp staff.
•Address and resolve any staff issues or concerns promptly and effectively, with the guidance of human resources and upper management.
Health and Safety Compliance:
•Ensure that the camp adheres to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
•Enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.
•Conduct regular safety inspections and drills, and maintain accurate records of safety activities.
Logistics and Coordination:
•Coordinate the logistics of camp operations, including transportation of personnel and supplies.
•Liaise with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure camp operations align with project requirements and schedules.
•Manage camp communications and maintain positive relationships with residents and external partners.
Budget and Financial Management:
•Prepare and manage the camp budget, including monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
•Submit regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
•Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality and safety.
Resident Support and Engagement:
•Ensure an accurate and up-to-date list of camp residents is being completed by the designated person.
•Ensure that the needs and concerns of camp residents are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
•Handle any issues related to accommodation, meals, or other services promptly and effectively.
Requirements
•Proven experience in camp management or a similar role within the construction or resource industry.
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
•Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
•Knowledge of safety regulations related to camp operations is an asset.
•Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to changing environments.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience in camp management, facilities management, or a similar role, preferably in an industrial or remote setting.
•Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team and resolve conflicts effectively.
•Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
•Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
•Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
