We are hiring a full time Equipment Operator position working out of our San Tan Valley office.
This individual will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment as part of EPCOR’s wastewater treatment services in the San Tan District.
- Safely load/unload containers from inside of buildings and unload at landfill.
- Ensure truck and other equipment is operating properly, and make minor adjustments as necessary.
- Operate front end loaders, backhoes and forklifts to assist in moving containers as needed.
- Pickups/drop-offs at numerous EPCOR facilities located throughout the San Tan Valley area.
- Perform other work as required.
- At least 1 year of experience operating front end loaders, backhoes and forklifts to assist in moving containers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s license with CDL. Tanker or Hazmat endorsement highly desired.
- Familiarity with water distribution and wastewater collection systems or utility construction methods, techniques, and practices.
- Knowledgeable of the hazards and safety precautions associated with working in traffic.
This position is subject to callback, overtime and weekend/holiday emergency call outs and call duty. There are periods of continuous stooping, bending, walking, shoveling and sweeping. May be exposed to insects, animals, reptiles, dust, pollen, chemicals, water and sewage. Must be able to tolerate extreme heat.
