This position is responsible for maintaining and safely operating the Heavy Equipment needed to install pipe into the ground. The Equipment Operators directly report to the crew Foreman. They must be able to travel to the jobsites throughout Oklahoma.
- Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner
- Keep up with daily maintenance of assigned equipment
- Check fluid levels, grease equipment on a regular suggested basis, check air filter daily, and avoid unnecessary damage
- Update Foreman or Superintendent if special maintenance is required
- Furnish a truck to drive to the jobsite and carry a basic amount of tools to:
- Change grease fittings and fluid filters
- Carry a fuel tank
- Change out a Hydraulic Hose
- Change out bucket teeth/wear plates
- Ensure excellent communication with co-workers in close proximity to work area
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors
- Able to effectively manage time and be productive
- Must be willing to travel to the jobsites throughout Oklahoma
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions on a regular basis including extreme cold and heat
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Ability to stand, stoop, crouch, kneel, and perform other related physical activities for long periods of time
- Must be able to pass DOT required Drug Test
- Must have previous experience operating heavy equipment
- Must have good operating safety knowledge
