Equipment Mechanic

Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment to include maintaining and repairing utility construction equipment including, but not limited to, digger derricks, manlifts and truck mounted cranes, directional drills, bulldozers, trailers, etc.

Order replacement parts and clean and lubricate parts.

Requisition of new parts and equipment.

Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

Travel to job sites to repair equipment.

Prepare and maintain records and reports.

Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, other agencies, and the public.

This position is required to drive.

Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

This position may require working out of town for periods of time.

This position reports to the Fleet Manager.
