- The Environmental Specialist applies waste/environmental regulations in their day-to-day activities.
- Functions under guidance from senior team members to perform within a limited scope environmental engineering/technical duty which include supporting the preparation of permits, engineering project and drawing review, environmental troubleshooting, and regulatory reporting of effluents and/or emissions.
- Perform assessment walk-downs and inspections of plant facilities to ensure compliance with environmental and waste management regulations.
- Assist in the prepare of sampling plans, review and analyze data and lab results to identify actions to be taken and identify adverse trends.
- Prepare draft waste management and environmental procedures.
- Assist in the preparation ofreporting documents for submittal to regulatory agencies.
- Review program documents such as procedures, readiness review documents, engineering design packages, and training to ensure compliance with environmental, waste storage and waste disposal requirements.
- Assist in the review and interpretation of state and federal environmental regulations for impact to operations.
- Investigate non-compliance issues and suggest corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.

We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:
- Associate degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field, and
one to three (1-3) years of experience in roles such as Environmental Technician, Laboratory Technician, Environmental Analyst, Environmental Specialist, or other related roles when collecting and analyzing environmental samples, waste management, and environmental regulations and procedures were practiced, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.
