Environmental Specialist

ACCIONA is one of Spain's leading corporations, a front-runner in promoting and managing infrastructures, renewable energies, water and services, with At ACCIONA Energía, we’re looking for an Environmental Specialist to support the development, construction, and operation of our wind and solar projects across North America. In this role, you’ll ensure compliance with environmental regulations and help shape the future of renewable energy by supporting permitting, audits, and sustainability programs.

- Support environmental permitting and compliance for wind, solar, and storage projects.

- Partner with developers, engineers, and agencies to assess risks and find sustainable solutions.

- Conduct site audits and lead environmental training across our fleet.

- Help implement environmental management systems (ISO 14001) and reporting programs.

- Contribute to biodiversity efforts by identifying and monitoring wildlife near our sites.

About You

Required Skills and Competencies

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.

- 1 to 5 years’ experience in environmental permitting, compliance, or regulatory affairs.

- Experience with NEPA, ESA, wetlands, stormwater, and waste management programs.

- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations in the U.S. (Canada experience is a plus).

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.

- Must possess a valid driver’s license

- Overnight travel 25-50%

- Base Pay: $65,000 – $110,000 (based on experience, education, and skillset)

- 10% Annual Performance Bonus (based on individual and company performance)
