Job Summary , shift 9am-1pm M-F, 4 hours every 3rd weekend
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of custodial tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
•
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in commercial and residential settings.
•
Maintain floors through buffing and polishing to ensure they remain in excellent condition.
•
Conduct industrial cleaning as needed, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
•
Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to support overall building upkeep.
•
Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently.
•
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
•
Provide porter services as required, ensuring that common areas are tidy and presentable.
•
Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning assignments are completed on time.
Qualifications
•
Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred but not required.
•
Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
•
Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks is advantageous.
•
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
•
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•
Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
•
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
