About the role:
The Environmental Permitting Specialist supports the development and construction of nuclear energy projects by leading environmental review and permitting strategies. This role ensures full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly those set by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Department of Energy (DOE), and other key agencies. The specialist navigates NEPA processes, coordinates technical assessments, and interfaces with stakeholders to move nuclear projects forward safely, efficiently, and responsibly.
Responsibilities
+ NEPA and related NRC environmental review processes. + Waste and water discharge permitting (e.g., NPDES). + Cultural and ecological resource assessments. + Radiological environmental impact considerations.
Estimated Starting Salary Range
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $150,000 - $173,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
