Position Summary
The Environmental Coordinator provides support for environmental compliance, permitting projects, waste management, and environmental issues that impact operations for an assigned region.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
•Manage and ensure Company compliance with applicable Federal/State/Local environmental rules, regulations, programs and permitting requirements.
•Oversee and manage Company waste management programs.
•Stay current with new and changing Federal/State/Local regulations. Assist in researching, developing, and implementing measures to ensure Company policies and procedures comply with new and changing regulations.
•Maintain all regulatory permit requirements at the assigned level, including the monitoring and reporting requirements as it pertains to the Company’s regulatory tracking program.
•Cooperate and work with local, state, and federal agencies as required.
•Serve as the Company point of contact for applicable regulating agencies related to environmental compliance.
•Generate monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual permit reporting, including monitoring and discharge reporting, fee payment, and compliance certification submittals.
•Prepare facilities for regulatory agency inspections by reviewing recordkeeping requirements and by facility site visits.
•Coordinate environmental testing and monitoring requirements as required by associated permit or project, review all associated laboratory analyses for compliance, and communicate results of non-compliance in a timely and effective manner.
•Oversee, maintain, and ensure Company compliance with applicable documented plans, including but not limited to, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, Best Management Practices, and Spill Prevention, Control, and Contingency plans for assigned locations.
•Assist Operational teams with the coordination of hydrostatic test water discharges.
•Work closely with Company functional groups as needed, provide assistance as it relates to facility modifications and expansions when necessary.
•Participate in Company response and exercise programs.
•Participate in the Company’s environmental audit programs.
Position Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Knowledge of Federal/State/Local environmental rules and regulations as it relates to assigned region.
•Knowledge of Federal waste regulations, and program management skills for administering federal and state program requirements.
•Knowledge of California waste regulations, including those implemented/regulated by the Department of Toxic Substances Control.
•Knowledge of the Clean Water Act and the Clean Air Act as it relates to petroleum storage and transportation facilities.
•Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to direct and achieve priorities, goals, and strategies with limited supervision.
•Flexible and able to effectively work in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers, vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work under time constraints and changing priorities.
•Ability to coach and support operations on how to be strong leaders in environmental compliance.
•Ability to communicate in a clear and precise manner in written and oral communications with all levels and in various settings.
•Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook
Experience/Education:
•Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the petroleum storage and transportation industry or related field in field/industry, is required.
•Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
•Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential Card (TWIC).
Travel:
Up to 30% travel required. Requires the ability to travel to field locations where the environment may vary significantly.

Hiring Range:
•$97,372 - $108,000 Annually (DOE)
