Canadian Royalties Inc. is a private company, owner of large nickel and copper deposits in Nunavik.

The normal work schedule rotates over 6 paid weeks, as follows: 3 weeks of work (77 hours of work per week, 7 days per week) followed by 3 weeks off.
Another possible rotation is over 4 paid weeks, with 2 weeks worked (77 hours of work per week, 7 days per week) followed by 2 weeks off.

The environmental technician reports to the Environmental Coordinator, with a functional link to the Technical Coordinator. His main responsibilities are as follows:
- Maintain an inventory of material resources to perform all technical tasks (inventory, ordering, and receiving).
- Ensure the maintenance of databases to support studies and monitoring required within the framework of the Nunavik Nickel Project.
- Coordinate the transportation of samples to laboratories and ensure their integrity and reception.
- Be responsible for various measuring devices in the department.
- Participate in field campaigns, field reports, and carry out regulatory and internal monitoring.
- Conduct visits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance of operational and development sites.
- Actively participate in monitoring compliance with environmental standards and regulations. Must report any irregularities and contribute to the development of solutions and follow-up on corrective measures.
- Coordinate and monitor various rehabilitation and restoration works of abandoned mining sites.
- Performing all related tasks associated with this position.
- College diploma with training in environmental studies or any related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in environmental fieldwork.
- Experience in a similar position in the mining or industrial sector is an asset.
- Good overall physical condition to perform fieldwork.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in various MS Office suite software.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Due to frequent interactions with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset that facilitates and enhances our internal communications.
