The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Principal provides strategic analyses and recommendations to support risk owners and business groups. The successful candidate will collaborate with other ERM team members and business units on a variety of projects with a focus on risk identification, quantification, and developing insightful reports and presentations. The candidate is expected to demonstrate in-depth expertise in handling both quantitative and qualitative information. The candidate will participate in and drive discussions with leaders from business units, and co-ordinate discussions and timeframes for risk assessments. This role will expand the company’s risk assessment capabilities and exert influence across the enterprise to increase risk awareness and implement mitigation strategies.

•Employs highly developed problem resolution skills and expertise as a generalist or specialist using professional concepts and ERCOT objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
•Wide latitude for decisions within assignments, programs and projects; impact is generally limited to the project or department.
•Often advises and leads the work of lower-level employees. Could frequently perform in a program/project leadership role requiring the ability to develop and lead matrixed programs. Interacts with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
•Responsibilities will be to identify, analyze, and quantify potential risks that could impact the organization’s strategic objectives
•Provides recommendations for risk mitigation initiatives that will provide value and benefits for stakeholders and business units
•Aligns risk management best practices with the organization’s strategic goals
•Ensure risk mitigation decisions support overall business objectives
•Collaborates cross-functionally on projects with a focus on risk quantification and developing reports and presentations that assist in driving business decisions
•Responsible for developing and documenting risk policies, procedures, and training materials
•Demonstrates high level expertise in handling quantitative and qualitative risk information
•Creates risk mitigation plans and monitors and tracks progress at the enterprise and business unit level
•Provides risk reporting and status updates to management and executive leadership
•May perform in a program/project leadership role requiring the ability to develop and lead matrixed teams
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
•Requires a minimum of 10 years’ job-related work experience in excess of degree requirements
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
•Electricity industry experience and experience quantifying risk (preferred)
•Knowledge of ERCOT market and operations (preferred)
•Understanding of risk frameworks such as COSO
EDUCATION
•Bachelor's Degree: Finance, Engineering, Economics or related field (Required)
•or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required
•In addition, a widely recognized professional certification in their area of expertise and a post-graduate professional degree is preferred.
CERTIFICATION
•ERM Certification (preferred)

•An ERCOT Principal is a unique individual who is a subject matter expert and thought leader who possesses advanced knowledge, exceptional skills, or extraordinary ability related to the services that ERCOT provides to the Texas electricity markets.

1. participating in regional or national advisory boards, panels or commit tees in their field of expertise
2. delivering presentations and addresses pertaining to their area of expertise at industry or professional events
3. teaching certificate-level or college-level courses pertaining to their area of expertise
4. publishing original works of authorship pertaining to their field of expertise in reputable professional or academic publications or journals
WORK LOCATION – Taylor, TX:
•Employees will be required to be on-site in Taylor, TX at a minimum of 2 days per week, or more, as needed based on the business needs as determined by management
•On-site schedules are flexible or may be rotated based on business needs as determined by the Manager
•Remote work is required to be performed from your Texas residence.
•Employees may opt to work on-site more than required or 100% of the time

Expected Salary Range:
$140,730 - $239,214
