PROJECT ENGINEER
Location: Nisku, AB
Job Summary:
The Project Engineer is a full-time position reporting to the VP, Engineering. As a member of the Engineering Team, the Project Engineer is responsible for the support of the field operations team and equipment, the design and development of new equipment, Field inspections, modifications & repairs, work with the sales team and help generate more work for the company.
Responsibilities:•Create repair procedures & supervise field repairs and modifications as required.
•Perform Field inspections as per API 4G & CAODC RP’s
•Performing mechanical/Structural engineering analysis using hand calculations, finite element analysis and other computer aided design techniques
•Properly file and store all analysis performed in accordance with the engineering departments’ storage processes & procedures
•Develop schedules on all jobs and comply with the same
•Ensure that all work performed is engineered in accordance with customer spec’s
•Act as a liaison between other departments when necessary to ensure the success of the project
•Conduct and generate presentations and proposals to clients on the basis of sales to gain work for the company.
•Carries out necessary preplanning to examine scope of work and services, engineering quality and quantities, financial and contractual obligations and division of responsibility to control and report on planning and scheduling activities.
•Provide documentation and cost estimates to clients based on best practices.
•Initiate corrective action for any unsafe or environmentally unsound condition. Report situation in accordance with company regulations and procedures.
•Provide complete and accurate weekly reports to management.

Education and Experience:
•Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Civil Discipline (APEGA registration as P.Eng)
•5 - 10 years of experience with Oil Field Equipment Design & Inspections
•Experience in Manufacturing Processes and Design (Structural Design, Weld Calculations, and FEA) is considered an asset as well as familiarity with API 4F and 8C.
•Experience working with SAFI, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Ansys is preferred.
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy in a fast paced and dynamic environment is critical.
•Familiar and experience with API 4G & CAODC Recommended Practices
•Must be willing to Travel and be available on weekends for emergency situations
