We are searching for an Engineer Sr, System Planning on behalf of our client. This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. (W-2) This position will support project management and engineering activities for renewable and transmission projects within the System Planning team. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the projects by managing projects milestones, timelines, and stakeholder communications, as well as providing technical support with power system analysis, steady-state and dynamic modeling for all Wind, Solar, Battery Energy Storage and stand-alone transmission /substation projects within the Engineering and Construction department.

Key Responsibilities:
•Plan and manage various system planning studies, coordinating with internal resources and external consultants to ensure timely delivery.
•Design and implement effective project management tools to track the deliverables of the System Planning team. Ensure that these tools are user-friendly and accurately reflect the team's progress and commitments.
•Create intuitive and comprehensive dashboards that illustrate relevant project information, including key performance indicators, milestones, and progress updates. Regularly communicate these insights to applicable stakeholders to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
•Create and validate PSSE, PSLF and PSCAD models for solar, wind and battery projects.
•Perform and review steady state, dynamic, short circuit and other power system analyses for renewable facilities
•Work closely with the System Planning team to identify areas for process improvement. Implement efficient processes and workflows to enhance team productivity and reduce inefficiencies, maintaining a focus on continuous improvement.
•Develop detailed process manuals and documentation to support the onboarding of new hires. Ensure that these guides are clear, comprehensive, and updated regularly to reflect any changes in procedures or technology.
•Organize and lead recurring meetings with internal and external stakeholders to discuss and resolve issues experienced during ongoing projects. Act as a liaison between external and internal teams to ensure concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
•Create and communicate presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders
•Undertake other job-related duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the organization. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements and organizational needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
•Proven experience in leading corporate initiatives and managing projects.
•Experienced with developing tracking tools and dashboards
•Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
•Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
•Experience with power system study tools such as PSSE and PSCAD.
