Job Summary NOTE: This is an onsite position and can be filled either at the New Albany, OH, Roanoke, VA OR Tulsa, OK location.
Responsible to the assigned supervisor for performing complex engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives.

The role of a Transmission Line Engineer on the Digital Transmission Line Model (DTLM) Team includes the development, maintenance, and governance of the AEP DTLM. The DTLM is the central repository and source of record for PLS-CADD as-built files for AEP’s Transmission Line Assets. The role requires creative thinking and problem solving to find solutions that satisfy all customers/stakeholders, as well as assuring the models meet strict safety and design standards. Ideal candidates should have scoping, design, engineering, and material procurement experience with large electrical transmission line design projects, or on similarly complex design and construction projects.

What we’re looking for: Engineer Senior SG8
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET with typically six (6) or more years related engineering experience OR four (4) years of related engineering experience along with a master’s or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET*.
Education/Experience:
Has typically acquired 8 or more years of related engineering experience along with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET; or
6 years of related engineering experience along with a master’s or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET. Compensation Range:
$96,110.00-124,940.00 USD
The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
