- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical or chemical
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Programming skills in Excel/VBA Experience with CFD and/or FEA
- Experience with structural engineering
- Experience with 3D design software
We are looking for a person with critical thinking skills, who has plenty of initiative and a desire to constantly develop and improve products and processes. You are a motivated team player who can work independently and take the lead on projects. Occasional domestic and international travel is required.
- This position will involve rotating through all the engineering functions within XRG, including;
Some of the duties you will perform during your rotation will include;
- Participating as a member of the design engineering team, focused on assisting with mechanical design calculations and drawing creation
- Learning how to perform the thermal design of process heaters
- Project managing the engineering, design, customer relations, schedule, and budget of projects for the engineering and supply of fired heat transfer equipment and systems, including heavy steel structures such as fired heaters, boilers, and auxiliary equipment
- Solving challenging problems that require investigative problem solving, clever ingenuity, and demand simultaneous big picture thinking and small detail precision
- Collaborating with sales, execution, process engineering, external manufacturing companies, and customers to understand market needs and constraints while balancing company objectives
- Assisting with field surveys: ascertain current equipment conditions, measurement of existing equipment, engineer superior solutions to complex retrofit challenges, design modifications to existing equipment, communicate with client personnel and direct construction/installation work
- Assisting with the preparation of cost and schedule estimates for projects
At the completion of your engineering rotation, you will be selected for a role as an application engineer, process engineer, design engineer, or project manager based on your aptitudes and the needs of the company at the time.
