- Prepare and support engineering deliverables such as drawings, studies, and technical reports.

- Learn to apply Scovan’s Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP) in daily work.

- Participate in design reviews and problem-solving discussions, helping identify operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.

- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to understand project scope and what success looks like.

- Gain hands-on experience in equipment sizing, integration, and vendor coordination under supervision.

- Communicate effectively with project teams, vendors, and clients in a professional manner.

- Assist in the development of fugitive emissions studies and hazardous area class determination.

- Develop control system design deliverables including I/O list and schematics, hardware layout and network architecture.

- Take initiative to learn industry software and tools to strengthen your electrical design capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Registered, or eligible for registration, as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with APEGA.

- 1–3 years of relevant work experience (co-op, internship, or early career).

- Exposure to electrical design principles such as power distribution, controls, heat trace, and equipment sizing (academic or work-based).

- Interest in learning design software such as SKM, ETAP, or AutoCAD (experience is an asset).

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel skills are an asset).

- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

- Proactive learner with a willingness to ask questions, take feedback, and grow.
