Currently, our Station Engineering division has an Engineering Trainee/Engineer opportunity, supporting Engineering Fix It Now (EFIN).
This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.
As a member of the Engineering Fix It Now (EFIN), the focus will be on troubleshooting, station support and design modifications. The Engineer is responsible for planning, evaluating, advising, or reporting on any activity which requires the application of engineering principles in the Bruce Power facilities.
+ Transformers, generators, switchgear, motor control centers, motors, uninterruptible power supplies; associated protection and control systems. + Instrumentation devices and sensors. + Pressure and level measurement including Gauge, Absolute and Differential transmitters. + Temperature measurement including bridge cards, transmitters, RTDs and thermocouples. + Flow measurement including orifice, venturi, pitot tube, Rotameters, square root extractors. + Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and various field bus technologies. + Process control strategies including PID, feed-forward and cascade systems. + Wireless sensor networks using various protocols. + Radio systems.
+ Familiar with qualification of digital hardware and software standards such as CSA N290.14. + Familiar with cyber security standards such as CSA N290.7. + Familiar with industry fire protection codes associated with CSA N293. + Familiar with international standards such as IEC 61508, 61513 and 61226.
