This position allows for independent work, enabling the identification and performance of tasks as required to meet objectives. The position will require establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.
- Performs assigned task with minimum guidance from supervision
- Organize and analyze issue specific information and make appropriate recommendations
- Coordinates assigned projects, studies and initiatives through completion
- Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Prepare and present routine reports; including recommendations to solve complex issues
- Participate in special project and committee assignments as requested, and on occasion lead special projects and committees.
- Lead routine to complex problem-solving efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process/Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Professional Engineering license preferred
- Min 2 yrs. related job experience in power plant operations/engineering or comparable industries
- Final pay grade/level will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications
- Collaborate within the team/department
- Maintain effective working relationships within the team/department
- Problem-solving techniques to address issues
- Effective written and oral communication
- Good judgement and willingness to take initiative
- Ability to establish effective working relationships across organizational boundaries
- Understanding of a fossil-fuel power station
- Able to perform cost/benefit analyses
- Able to problem–solve complex issues
- Able to execute projects/strategies with minimum oversight.
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands and fingers to operate tools and controls
- Able to work extended hours if required
