Reporting to the Coordinator, Underground Engineering, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

- Create weekly mine plans in collaboration with mine operations and other stakeholders.

- Work with other members of the engineering team to integrate construction, services, or other related aspects into execution priorities.

- Produce and track various daily KPI’s related to production and development and be a power user of the Centric data management software.

- Align weekly priorities with the underground mine technicians.

- Verify and approve development layouts.

- Monitor plan adherence through underground inspections.

- Promote innovation and continuous improvement in safety and productivity.

- Provide coverage for other areas of the Underground Engineering team if necessary.

What You Need To Succeed

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering.

- 3 years of experience in underground mining.

- Professional designation (P.Eng) in the Northwest Territories/Nunavut or able to quickly obtain designation.

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and mine design software (Deswik is considered an asset).

Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;

- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
