As Energy Procurement Service Line Leader, you’ll not only oversee complex energy procurement operations but also lead our energy procurement service line, driving innovation, strategic impact, and commercial growth. · Lead the Energy Procurement service line, ensuring delivery excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous service improvement.
· Act as the internal subject matter expert, supporting internal teams, mentoring staff, and refining tools and processes to support scale and quality.
· Define and monitor service KPIs to align performance with business objectives.
· Represent the procurement function in leadership discussions and cross-functional initiatives.
· Partner with senior client stakeholders to develop and implement energy and fuel procurement strategies tailored to their goals and risk appetite.
· Provide high-level advisory services that transform complex data into actionable business strategies.
· Lead strategic reviews, contract negotiations, and performance updates with client executives.
· Analyze large and complex data sets to derive insights and inform procurement timing, supplier selection, and pricing strategies.
· Work closely with data and analytics teams to develop forecasting tools, market analysis, and executive-level reporting.
· Use insights to shape proactive strategies that mitigate risk, reduce cost, and align with clients’ sustainability objectives.
· Collaborate with business development teams to support the sales process, including pre-sales consulting, proposal development, and RFP responses.
· Help shape value propositions and go-to-market strategies for the procurement service line.
· Participate in client presentations and industry events as a subject matter expert to promote Vervantis’ offerings as required.
· Lead supplier sourcing, qualification, negotiation, and contract execution across electricity, gas, and renewable portfolios.
· Manage vendor relationships and performance, ensuring compliance and alignment with client expectations.
· Ensure timely and accurate documentation, reporting, and contract compliance.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (MBA a plus).
· 5+ years of experience in energy procurement or commodity sourcing, with a strong record of strategic leadership.
· Demonstrated success in managing executive-level client relationships and delivering complex procurement programs.
· Proven ability to translate data into clear, strategic business actions.
· Experience in supporting sales initiatives, including RFPs and solution design.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; Power BI or SQL knowledge a plus.
· Understanding of utility tariffs, energy markets, and regulatory environments.
· Highly collaborative with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
