An End Area (EA) Inspector visually and dimensionally inspects the tubes, and or forged ends for compliance with the order requirements. Must accurately read and enter data for critical traceability requirements.
- Interpret results from inspections and communicate these findings effectively and appropriately to production personnel.
- Record the number of tubes inspected and specific non-conformances by categories for daily reporting purposes.
- Accurately read and interpret product drawings to determine acceptance criteria.
- Accurately use measuring equipment (i.e., dial calipers, micrometers, pit gauges, etc.) and interpret results to determine product acceptance.
- Must be able to stand and work in adverse conditions (outside in all types of weather or inside in a manufacturing environment) for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Must be able to use simple measuring instruments (tape measure, caliper, etc.).
- Must be able to do extensive walking, bending, stooping, and moderate to heavy lifting.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Pass screening exams (math and reading comprehension) with a minimum score of 80% required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Pass an Industrial Eye exam with near visual acuity
