Job Description
Job Duties:
•Under general supervision, performs high level design work.
•Perform placement and routing of moderate to complex PCBs.
•Requires advanced knowledge and understanding of IPC, industry, and company guidelines.
•Complies with and promotes the reliability and safety practices.
•Comply with HSE and service Quality requirements.
•May mentor and train lower-level designers/drafters.
•Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
•Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
Qualifications:
•Skills are typically acquired through the completion of an associate's degree in Electronics Technology, Drafting or similar discipline and 7 years of related drafting/design experience or through 9 years of related drafting/design experience.
Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Principal Electronics Designer.
