Job Title: Journeyman Electrician


Employment Type: Non-Exempt/Full-Time

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 Hours/Week), with overtime


Responsibilities:

Supervision and Support: As Journeyman Electrician, you'll serve as a key leader under the direct supervision of the Operations Director and/or Superintendent. You will oversee and guide the construction, installation, and modification of electrical appliances, systems, and facilities for commercial solar projects of varying complexities.
Collaborative Approach: Your role entails both taking direction and working intuitively to support the company's goals and objectives in commercial solar construction. You will collaborate closely with team members, aligning actions with SEL Constructions' policies and procedures while exceeding client expectations through exceptional workmanship and professionalism.
Technical Expertise: Drawing upon your advanced skills in electrical troubleshooting, commissioning, and preventative maintenance specific to commercial solar systems, you'll tackle complex challenges. From PV installations to battery backup solutions, your expertise will ensure the reliability and efficiency of our commercial solar installations.
Diagnosis and Resolution: Armed with cutting-edge testing equipment and hand tools, you'll diagnose and resolve issues within commercial solar systems with precision. Your ability to swiftly identify and rectify faults will contribute to the seamless operation of our solar installations.
Code Compliance: You'll meticulously analyze commercial solar systems for hazards, defects, and code compliance, ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met. Your commitment to compliance will uphold our reputation for excellence and reliability in commercial solar construction.
Continual Assessment: Conducting comprehensive tests to verify the compatibility and safety of commercial solar systems, you'll provide ongoing feedback to management regarding potential hazards and areas for improvement in commercial solar implementation.
Physical Demands: Your role will encompass a wide range of physical tasks specific to commercial solar installations, including rooftop work, panel installation, and equipment setup. Your agility, strength, and stamina will be essential as you navigate various installation challenges.
Documentation and Compliance: Upholding meticulous documentation practices specific to commercial solar projects, you'll ensure accurate recording of plans, specifications, contracts, and safety documents. Your attention to detail will facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations in commercial solar construction.
Work Environment: As an integral member of our team, you'll thrive in a dynamic work environment characterized by ongoing commercial solar construction activities and exposure to various weather conditions. Your adaptability and resilience will be essential as you execute your duties with professionalism and dedication in advancing commercial solar energy solutions.


Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial electrical or solar electrician journeyman roles, with a strong understanding of electrical equipment, high and low voltages, electrical theory, and power generation in commercial settings.
Licenses: Valid Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in electrical competencies specific to commercial solar installations, including troubleshooting and resolving faults in AC/DC electrical systems. Heavy and light equipment operation.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead on-site customer communication effectively in commercial solar projects.
Mobility: Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required, with the ability to travel frequently within the state of TX for commercial solar installations.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Electrical Experience: 4 years (Required)


License/Certification:
