U.S. Facilities, Inc., a comprehensive building maintenance services company, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Licensed Journeyman Electrician at our Kokomo, Indiana location. This position's essential duties and responsibilities include maintaining and repairing all commercial building electrical, digital, analog, and related systems. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in building automation systems and be able to carry out all required calibrations and related electrical tasks, including troubleshooting and maintaining equipment. This position entails ensuring the safe and reliable functioning of electrical systems while complying with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:•Install and troubleshoot electronic equipment in industrial maintenance and manufacturing environments, including PLCs, variable frequency drives, soft starts, etc.
•Diagnose electrical problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
•Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components, including wiring, fixtures, and various devices.
•Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine wiring layouts and installation procedures.
•Test electrical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
•Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
•Replace or repair faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
•Ensure all work activities comply with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
•Collaborate with other trades and contractors on construction projects to coordinate electrical work effectively.
•Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, such as maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.
•Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards.
•Respond promptly to emergency calls and service requests to address electrical issues.
Requirements and Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent education; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training in electrical work.
•Journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification.
•Must possess working knowledge and be willing and able to interpret the National Electrical Code (NEC)
•Proven experience as an electrical technician or electrician, with knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
•Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
•Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeters, wire strippers, and conduit benders.
•Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, lifting, and climbing.
•Attention to detail and accuracy in performing electrical work.
•Customer service orientation and professionalism.
Skills Requirements:
•Mathematics: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions.
•Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety policies, operating and maintenance procedures, emergency procedures, and various manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and communicate effectively with coworkers.
Physical Requirements:
•Must be able to see color to differentiate color-coded wiring.
•Capable of prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
•Able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
•Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours a day.
•Ability to climb heights ranging from 1 to 56 feet.
•Must be physically capable of performing all the duties mentioned.
