Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems at our mine site. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations that meet all safety standards and technical specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on bringing our mine site into commercial production utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to make a real impact.

Basic Function:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Proficient in trouble shooting and maintaining control circuits and instrumentation. Proficient in trouble shooting, maintaining control circuits, and instrumentation as it pertains to process equipment, crushers, and belt liners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Must demonstrate the ability to perform all aspects of daily tasks and assignments in a safe and professional manner.

- Must be familiar with the use and administration of 30CFR (MSHA Code of Federal regulations) as it pertains to your daily tasks.

- Must be familiar with the use and administration of the NEC (National Electrical Code) as it pertains to your daily tasks.

- Must demonstrate a working knowledge of control circuitry, instrumentation, soft starters and variable frequency drives.

- Must demonstrate a working knowledge of power generation, safety and control.

- Other duties which may be deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma required.

- Additional trade schooling or apprenticeship required.

- Minimum of 5 years' experience required.

- Mine site experience preferred.

- Knowledge of National Electrical Code and understanding and application of mathematical and electrical formulas is essential.

- Familiarity with Arc Flash safety and Hi Voltage safety, trouble shooting and isolation.

- Excellent planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- First Responder or EMT certification would be a plus.

- MSHA Electrical Card is a plus.

- Must have own tools.

Physical Demands:

To be eligible for this position, an individual must possess the following requirements to perform the essential job functions:

- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion

- Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating information, to management.

- Able to lift up to 25 pounds periodically.

- Must possess a valid Driver’s license and be able to operate a light vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
