Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and prepare accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Duties

•

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.

•

Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.

•

Utilize HeavyBid software for estimating and cost control processes.

•

Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.

•

Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

•

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather additional data for estimates.

•

Prepare detailed reports and presentations of cost estimates for review by management.

•

Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and new materials or methods that may impact project costs.

•

Must beable to estimate small service jobs to commercial/industrial.

Requirements

•

Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.

•

Proficiency in cost control techniques and project management principles.

•

Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is preferred.

•

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and clients.

•

Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

•

A background in construction site operations or construction management is advantageous.

•

A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
